Designed as a versatile option for inshore fishing and lighter offshore applications, the Ascender combines a lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum construction with a straightforward star drag design that's equally suited for experienced anglers and those purchasing their first Accurate reel.

At the heart of the Ascender is Accurate's patented TwinStarDrag® technology, designed to provide smooth, even drag performance. A smooth brass main gear and six ABEC 3 bearings support consistent operation, while Xtreme Casting Technology™ (XCT) is engineered to improve casting performance with longer casts and fewer backlashes.
