The Avet MXL 5.8 G2 Conventional Reel is a durable and high-performance lever drag reel designed for anglers targeting powerful saltwater species. Precision machined from 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel internal components, the MXL G2 delivers a strong yet lightweight platform built to perform in demanding offshore and inshore conditions.

The redesigned true one-piece frame increases rigidity while maintaining an efficient strength-to-weight balance for improved durability and smooth operation under heavy loads. Equipped with a powerful lever drag system and adjustable strike preset, the MXL G2 utilizes Avet’s dry carbon fiber Avedrag system to provide smooth, consistent drag pressure with excellent wear resistance.

Internally, the reel features precision-machined stainless steel gears and Avet’s patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse system, redesigned with additional engagement teeth to minimize handle back-play.
