C&H Lures - Alien XL Soft Chugger

The C&H Lures Alien XL Soft Chugger is a larger version of the classic Alien Chugger, designed for offshore trolling with a straight-running track and erratic popping action. Its concave face catches and redirects water around the lure, creating an active surface presentation that can be fished either on its own or paired with natural bait.

A soft PVC head and easily trimmed skirt make the Alien XL adaptable to different bait sizes and trolling setups. For rigged-bait presentations, the skirt can be trimmed to approximately 4–6 inches depending on bait size and paired with Select or Horse Ballyhoo. The double-skirt configuration can also be adjusted by removing the inner skirt when a lighter presentation is preferred.

Designed to remain effective in choppy and turbulent conditions, the Alien XL can be positioned from the short corner and flatline to the short rigger or center rigger. Its larger profile and compatibility with larger ballyhoo make it particularly well suited for offshore trolling spreads targeting yellowfin, bigeye tuna, and other pelagic gamefish.
