Shimano - Current Sniper Jerkbait:
Shimano’s unique JET BOOST technology within the CURRENT SNIPER Jerkbait is designed for exceptional long-distance casting, allowing the internal weight to slide back during the cast and then spring forward when the lure hits the water. Ideal for targeting coastal species like calico bass in Southern California waters and stripers on the East Coast, the CURRENT SNIPER Jerkbait allows anglers to cover lots of water with lengthy casts.
The CURRENT SNIPER Jerkbait can also be worked at different speeds due to its slow-floating design to allow anglers to fish it 3 to 5 feet below the surface. Reliable and chemically-finished treble hooks are located at both mid-body and the tail so anglers can make the most out of every strike.
Features:
- JET BOOST - Shimano designed JET BOOST lure technology to give anglers the upper hand by increasing casting distance and accuracy compared to a lure of similar weight and dimensions. JET BOOST lure technology capitalizes on the centrifugal force of an angler’s cast by allowing the internal weight to slide to the back of the lure during the back cast and then spring forward as the lure projects through the air. As the lure hits the water, the JET BOOST technology rebalances the lure and enables the lure to have a lifelike action when retrieving.
- SCALE BOOST - Shimano designed SCALE BOOST lure technology with its exclusive composite-pitch holograms that mimic realistic patterns of baitfish scales. Compared to lures with single-pitch holograms, SCALE BOOST technology capitalizes on composite-pitch holograms to increase the amount and complexity of light reflected through the water. The result: a lineup of lures featuring the realistic baitfish patterns of SCALE BOOST lure technology that will draw aggressive bites from trophy fish.
- THROUGH-WIRE CONSTRUCTION - Shimano's Through-Wire Construction utilizes a single strand of wire through the lure body to connect the line-tie eyelet to the hook hangers for increased durability. This ensures anglers will never have to worry about lure failure that may cause them to lose the fish of a lifetime.
- PROPULSION WEIGHT TRANSFER SYSTEM - The propulsion weight transfer system adopts a spring-type center of gravity control that outdoes the regylar center of gravity movement systems. When casting, the weight is moved backward by centrifugal force and acceleration. By installing a spring-type center of gravity control, the weight returns, and at the time of landing, an exceptional rise is achieved with. astable posture equivalent to a fixed center of gravity.
