DaHo - Reverse Latch Splicing Needles:
The DaHo Reverse Latch Splicing Needles are designed for working with braided hollow-core fishing line. Developed from a reverse-latch concept created by Jerry Brown, these specialized rigging tools allow the needle to be pulled through hollow braid with the latch trailing behind the tool.
Unlike conventional latch needles that are pushed through hollow braid, the DaHo Reverse Latch design allows the internal pressure of the line to help keep the latch closed as the needle is pulled through. This configuration is designed to reduce unnecessary contact with the braid fibers while providing controlled line handling during hollow-core rigging and splicing.
Each Reverse Latch Splicing Needle uses DaHo's 6-inch needle design, providing additional working length for creating loops and completing longer splices. The latch can also be opened when needed to release the captured line, making these needles useful for splicing techniques where the line must be released while another section is being threaded.
Features:
- Designed for hollow-core Spectra and braided fishing line
- Reverse-latch design is pulled through the hollow braid
- Trailing latch configuration helps keep the latch closed during use
- Allows captured line to be released when required during splicing
- 6-inch needle design
- Suitable for creating loops and hollow-core splices
- Available in three sizes for different braided line diameters
