Daiwa BG MQ Spinning Reels bring Monocoque Body technology to the proven BG platform, creating a rigid, compact reel designed for demanding saltwater fishing. The one-piece aluminum MQ Body eliminates the traditional side plate and uses an engine plate that screws directly into the body, increasing rigidity while improving water resistance and creating additional internal space for a larger drive gear.

Daiwa's DigiGear system uses digitally engineered gearing for precise interaction between the drive and pinion gears, providing a smooth combination of power and durability. The larger gearing made possible by the Monocoque design helps generate increased torque under load, while the aluminum body provides a strong foundation without unnecessary weight.

The BG MQ lineup covers an exceptionally broad range of saltwater applications, from lighter inshore fishing to heavy offshore tackle.
