Hogy - Harness Protail Paddle

The Hogy Harness Protail is a large soft swimbait designed for offshore trolling and heavy-duty applications where a secure internal harness and controlled swimming action are required. Its internal weighting and balanced profile are intended to maintain a consistent drop and retrieve across a range of trolling speeds.

Each Protail is built around a 500 lb stainless steel harness that connects a 10/0 VMC Barbarian Tuna Live Bait Hook to a nose-mounted ball bearing swivel. This through-wired design provides a continuous connection from the hook to the line tie. The hook placement extends into the body to reduce tail fouling while keeping the hook positioned for effective engagement.

The soft body is molded to imitate large forage species and is produced with UV-infused soft plastic for increased visibility in varying water conditions. A keel-weighted design helps maintain tracking and stability during use, making the Harness Protail suitable for offshore trolling and targeting larger pelagic species.
