Hogy - Epoxy Jigs (In-Line Hook):

The EPOXY JIG™ Lure features a vivid scale finish core surrounded by a double thick translucent coat for excellent durability and natural refraction of light. The EPOXY JIG™ lure's light weight to length ratio produce the perfect balance of size, weight and casting distance, making them a perfect option for surface blitzes.

The Epoxy Jig is your precision casting tool for pressured, finicky, or micro-feeding fish. It lands soft, hovers long, refracts light naturally, and buys you the extra seconds in the strike zone that convert follows into eats. It’s the scalpel in the casting jig system — and for albies and striped bass, it’s the lure that unlocks the bites nothing else can get. The 7/8oz is the workhorse. Carry a progression for conditions. Fish it when calm water, micro bait, or spooky fish demand finesse.

Features:

  • Semi-Buoyant Resin Body - This is what makes the Epoxy a different animal. The resin body weighs less than lead or zinc metals, which translates directly into finesse. It buys you time in the column, softens the splash on entry, and lets you manipulate retrieve speed and cadence without overpowering the bait. The balance between weight and buoyancy creates a presentation that looks alive and non-threatening — exactly what pressured fish demand.
  • Double-Thick Translucent Epoxy Coat - The signature finish. A vivid scale core is encased in a double-thick translucent epoxy layer that refracts light naturally rather than reflecting it harshly like bare metal. The result is a shimmer that changes with angle and depth — the same way a live baitfish looks in the water. The epoxy is virtually indestructible: it handles bluefish teeth, rocky bottoms, and repeated casting abuse without chipping or losing its visual appeal.
  • Light Weight-to-Length Ratio - The EPO’s defining engineering characteristic. At any given length, the Epoxy weighs less than a metal jig of the same size. That lighter profile means a slower fall, a longer hover in the strike zone, and a softer landing on the cast. It’s the ratio that gives the EPO its unique ability to cast like a metal but fish like something much more subtle.
  • Through-Wired Construction - A continuous wire runs through the body from the line tie to the hook connection. No weak points. When a 20lb striper or a hot albie hits mid-retrieve, the through-wire construction transfers the load directly to the hook with zero failure risk. This is the foundation of the jig’s durability under real fishing pressure.
  • Reflective Scale Finish with Laser Eye - The scale pattern beneath the epoxy coat creates a realistic baitfish profile at every angle. The imitative laser eye adds a target point that predators key on. Combined with the translucent epoxy, the visual package is one of the most lifelike profiles in any casting jig on the market.
  • Inline Single Hook Option - Available with VMC inline single or VMC 4X treble. The inline single tracks cleaner, hooks deeper, releases faster, and causes less damage to fish — critical for albies (nearly all released) and stripers (most released by regulation). Inline singles are the recommended configuration and are transitioning to the default across all Hogy casting jigs.
