A weighted keel helps the Protail Fly maintain a natural horizontal swimming position in the water, while the soft plastic body delivers subtle movement throughout the retrieve. A hand-painted eye adds realistic detail to the profile, helping replicate the appearance of the small forage commonly found in coastal waters.

Several years in the making, the Protail Inshore Fly has roots in Hogy founder Capt. Mike Hogan's experience as an Orvis-endorsed fly fishing guide on Cape Cod.
