Skurge of the Sea - Penetrator Harpoon Dart

The Skurge of the Sea Penetrator Harpoon Dart combines characteristics of traditional bronze Lily-style darts with the penetrating profile of West Coast Halibut-style darts. Measuring 4.5 inches long, the Penetrator is constructed from brass and is also available in nickel-plated brass for additional corrosion resistance in demanding offshore environments.

Its streamlined point and fluted body are engineered to penetrate tough areas including flesh, cartilage, gill plates, and bone. The rear of the dart features flared, cupped sections designed to release evenly from the harpoon shaft after deployment. This construction helps prevent the dart from remaining stuck on the shaft while providing a secure connection once deployed.

When tension is applied to the harpoon line, the Penetrator is designed to turn horizontally and create a buttonhole-style hold. The rear flanges can also engage the target if the dart does not pass completely through, helping the dart maintain its hold under tension. Built for serious offshore harpoon applications, the Penetrator provides a purpose-designed alternative to conventional bronze harpoon darts.
