The Striper-Gear Rocket Pencil Popper is built for anglers who need exceptional casting distance and precise control in demanding surf, inlet, and current-driven conditions. Its streamlined, balanced construction is designed to cut through wind and reach fish holding beyond conventional casting range, while multiple floating and sinking options allow anglers to target everything from surface-feeding fish to deep-water structure.

The sinking Rocket models feature a one-piece internal weight that creates a balanced, tail-first descent and helps the lure track consistently through fast water. Cast it upcurrent, allow it to reach the desired depth, and work it with a jigging retrieve to create a porpoising, darting presentation near the bottom. The floating 1.4 oz. model provides a completely different presentation, producing a tight walking action across the surface when fish are feeding higher in the water column.

Heavy-duty Mustad hardware completes the package for serious striped bass fishing. A 6/0 Mustad 3X rear bucktail hook is positioned upside-down to help reduce bottom snags, while a 3/0 Mustad treble is mounted on a swivel to allow it to rotate independently during the fight. From surf and inlets to boat fishing over rips and drop-offs, the Rocket provides the casting range, depth versatility, and rugged construction needed for challenging striped bass conditions.
