Thirty Fathoms - Model B Knot Pullers:

Up your knot game this season and give your hands a break.

The Thirty Fathoms Model B Knot Puller is one of the most practical tools on the market for cinching knots for line to line connections and hook connections.

Perfect for FG knots, PR knots, and many more. The increased pressure you can apply with these knot pullers will strengthen your connections.

Features:

  • One plain rod, about 1” wide and 5” long.
  • Second rod with through-hole for 1/0 to 6/0 hook.
  • Anodized T-6061 aluminum construction.
  • 3.4 lb magnetic force hold rods together during storage.
  • Anti-slip covering holds line in place to cinch knots easily. Save hands from the pain of spectra!
  • No plastic components.
  • Will not rust or corrode.

How To Use:

For Making Knots Between Lines:

  1. Wrap ends of main line or leader around each rod three times (make sure not to cross line over itself on the tool, as it can weaken your line).
  2. Center the knot in the middle of the two rods.
  3. Pull rods in opposite directions to cinch knot.

 For Making Knots to Hooks:

  1. Place hook through the through-hole.
  2. Wrap line around second rod three times (make sure not to cross line over itself on the tool, as it can weaken your line).
  3. Pull rods in opposite directions to cinch knot.

FAQ's:

Is the black material slick? Will the line slip when I cinch knots?

  • The black material has the right combination of durability and traction so that your line will not slip. Just make sure to wrap the line around each of the rods at least three times to build up enough friction to keep your line from slipping.

What kind of line can I use?

  • Monofilament, fluorocarbon and spectra lines from 8 lbs up to 300 lbs works great.

Will the black material damage the line?

  • No. It does not have a rough texture that could chafe / scratch your line. You will notice that the black material will show line marks as you cinch knots – the black material is softer than your spectra / mono / fluoro line, which helps your line grip the rods while not damaging it.

What size hook is that in the picture?

  • It is a 6/0 Owner ringed Super Mutu circle hook. The hole can also accommodate Mustad 91450 hooks up to 7/0 and as small as 2/0, although many 1/0 J and circle hook sizes can pass through the through hole also.
